Most watches in need of a battery can be changed right here in our store while you wait. However, some watches require pressurization or special tools to have backs removed and put back on. These watches are still serviceable, but does require us to send the watch to one of our two watchmakers. Our watchmakers are available for all types of watch repairs, from batteries and cleanings to complete overhauls on all makes and models. We will provide you with a free no obligation estimate before any work is done on your timepiece and a 1 year warranty on all our watch repair services.

Items purchased from Yelton's that should be insured will be accompanied by an appraisal at no charge. In fact, its a good idea to have your appraisals updated every five to seven years and items purchased from Yelton's can be updated free of charge. If you have other jewelry items that require a written appraisal for insurance purposes, we can do that right here in our store. All items will be inspected by our goldsmiths and cleaned properly before being appraised. Jewelry appraisal and evaluations are not a pure science and is therefore subjective; estimates of value may vary from one appraiser to another and such a variance does not necessarily constitute error on the part of the appraiser, but at Yelton's you can be sure we do our very best to to ensure that your appraisal is done as accurately and quickly aspossible.

There is never a charge for a visual inspection and cleaning of your jewelry. We'll be happy to steam and clean your jewelry while-you-wait and let you know if your jewelry requires any repair work. Once we've inspected and evaluated your item(s) we can provide you with an estimate for any necessary repairs. If you prefer a complete professional polishing that also can be arranged for a nominal charge.
