I often ask myself this very question, Y is balance so important? It’s important because it keeps me and my family grounded. It is easy to get caught up in the everyday hustle and bustle. I’ve learned over the years that it takes a lot of patience and practice to learn to slow down and enjoy life around us. Another question that pops up is… how do I do everything in a timely manner? Well, I have to admit that my best answer is that I am not doing it alone. Juggling everything takes a village, and I have a community full of villagers! There’s Grandma Faye and Grandma JoAnn, my Yelton staff, the boys’ friend’s parents...there are so many people that pick up where I cannot. Even the two “new” Grandpas in our family; they are two key pieces to the Yelton Fine Jeweler's village!
I try to balance business and work and treat myself with a reward; something earned that I can look forward to! It can be something to look forward to for the house; for example, right now it’s the tile on a kitchen wall. Or, the family likes to squeeze in a Family Day Date actually, we’d love to do a date this weekend as our calendar is filling up with lacrosse tournaments and upcoming trips!
Anyone that knows our family knows that we love to travel. Our next adventure is coming up; we are going to Anna Maria Island, Florida. We will be spending our days with some much needed R&R and checking out the local scenery before the holiday busyness at the store begins!
Our oldest, Ty, is heavy into winter workouts for school and summer baseball. He recently got his temps… SCARY… and he is driving us EVERYWHERE! Trent is traveling for lacrosse tournaments this fall and prepping for lacrosse winter workouts. Both boys are working super hard in school and producing the grades to prove it! Such a proud momma!
