The Quaran“TINA” Report
Our blog is back…how exciting is that?!
At the end of last year, life was consumed with business. I was being pulled in several directions and having a hard time balancing. Unfortunately, the blog took the back seat to everyday operations and now after being home for several weeks, I feel like it’s the perfect time to start it up again.
So… what’s life like in your world? Who would have thought this is where we would be right now? There are so many questions running through my head as we shelter within these 4 walls. So, I wanted to update you on what our life looks like at the Yelton house.
I’ve gone from working mom to stay-at-home mom, educator, short-order cook, landscaper, social director, cleaning lady, laundry do-er, etc, etc, etc… Quite the promotion in a matter of weeks!
We’re all feeling just like you. Missing friends, sports and freedom, but we’ve also found new joys in being at home. Most of all, we’re cherishing this quality time with our boys and taking advantage of having their undivided attention. As a family, we’re playing games, doing puzzles, watching movies, getting outside and taking car rides to wave at familiar faces!
We are teaching Ty how to drive a stick shift, which has been loads of fun. Thankfully, he got his license a week before the shutdown started! I’m trying my best just to keep Trent fed and I think he may have grown 2 inches in the past few weeks. Personally, I’m on my 4th book and have a few more on the nightstand (you can follow me on Goodreads). I’ve also started to exercise everyday. So far, I’ve logged 38 walking miles in April and have a hefty goal to keep up with. Aside from that, I’ve also been completing all the projects that we should have finished when we moved into our home 5 years ago!
No matter what, we’re hopeful that things start to settle down and get back to somewhat normal. We are thankful for our health and our time together. We hope and pray that you are finding peace and doing the same. Remember, we are all in this together and will come out of this stronger. We’re sad that we had to temporarily close our doors, but understand that it was an important step in decreasing the spread. Yelton Fine Jewelers is here for you and always will be. If there is anything that our family can do for yours, jewelry related or not, please reach out. We can deliver a hot meal, groceries and even toilet paper. Please don’t request lysol wipes, those are impossible :( LOL. You can call or text us at 513-860-1750.
